This game is excellent and deserves more support both from players and the developer.

Ive always been a strong advocate for these games! I think the game play is greatly improved from Merchant Kingdom and theres some really cool new game concepts and features. It makes the game seem more realistic and its more fun than ever before! Ive always been extremely confused as to why these games never got more popular, its such a cool concept of being able to build a kingdom based on real world location!

Major improvements from the previous version. Really fun to play a game based on real world location. Economic elements come into play as well. Download it and start playing!

This is a good game and I have enjoyed it since Merchant Kingdom came out over 4 years ago. However as this game requires patience, a habit of frequenting the same place/location regularly and some basic strategy, it will not appeal to those who have short attention spans and has the need for instant gratification. However I do have one beef with Merchant. I have spent hundreds of hours and countless miles in building my Merchant Kingdom, which is now idle as there is nothing going on there. My buildings don’t produce any resources… it just stopped working. I am now building from scratch on Merchant and I hope that there will be a transfer function or at least a small reward for my continued support at Merchant Kingdom. Anyways, I hope that Merchant the Game will fare better support wise.

The inaccuracy of the GPS while playing is annoying. Im now having to pay for corruption for not being able to visit a settlement at a place I go everyday. My GPS is fine for everything else. Ive always got 3+ bars of LTE its never accurate.

I loved the original. Played it a lot and the whole claiming real world land to earn imaginary goods is so freaking cool. Its free so get it and stake your claim!

The games concept is really simple, yet fun. You dont ever need to spend a dime playing this game, it is very well balanced for people who dont pay and people who do. My only concern with the game is that the player count is still low as it was just released but that will change.

I enjoyed playing the original game for a few weeks. This update does a few things to streamline the beginning of the game, but the core game is boring when playing as the only merchant in your area.

Its a great game, but there are still a lot of game breaking bugs to be worked out. For example, the game crashes on open often and the game has issues when not on a wifi. This would not be so bad, but to be at a location and not be able do anything is very frustrating. Hope it gets fixed up properly.

First of all, yes the game can be a little buggy. But if youre willing to deal with that this is so far a fun game. Basically, you start an empire by setting up settlements. The twist of this game is to set up (or manage) your settlements you have to be physically near them. It uses your gps similarly to location-based ingress. On the good side it doesnt zap your battery but on the downside it doesnt seem to poll your gps too often. Thankfully they have a well placed menu option to resync gps. Theres plenty to do even if you cant visit your settlements. From looking for and managing relationships with other players to gathering resources locally there are options to keep one entertained. I do want to point out it does have time based features. For example, upgrading a building may take an hour. They have IAP to cut that down if youre in a rush but its not necessary. Overall its a great game thats got me hooked and Im checking it a few times a day.

Awesome game, you should remove Merchant Kingdom off. Bug: I cant manually change the production rate, it hust crashes

So Im a big fan. I played the first merchant in 2010 but I cant access my old account on my new device anymore. :( I got an email from Oberon not too long ago telling me a new Merchant has come out.... I mean, its amazing and all, but where are the people? the app itself is hard to find in the App Store. I would suggest Oberon remove the old Merchant 2010 from the App Store and somehow advertise the new one. :) Edit: The new patch is junky. I cant log in using data. please fix! looking forward to more players! -AntHuang

Its a fun game if u travel around. Looting treasures and getting free storage from herds. But to really excel, u need to designate areas that you frequent for bases. Main gripe is that no way to get favors aside from iap. Gold is a precious commodity, so use it wisely. Getting towns to higher tiers really require series of towns to support. Also no website for us to check the status of the game. Currently down as of 6 pm est. Lastly, the positioning could use some more finetuning. Sometimes i see my base sometimes i dont, even when i have wifi aided location turned on. Cant wait for next update.

Love this game and the prior version, but a recent patch has made it nearly unplayable for me. Im often in a dense area with tall buildings and spotty gps; previously the game would make do, but now it demands better data and just stops trying. Very frustrating. :(

I love this game, but there are a few problems… First, after my gatherer arrives back, it won’t let me send him out immediately. It is clearly marked arrived in the caravan, but I often have to close the app, open another app, and then open Merchant again before I can use the gatherer again. Second, it sometimes, while the app is loading, it sometimes gives me an error message saying I need to enable location services for the game, even though I do have location services enabled. Last, like other people have said, there aren’t many people playing… Maybe they could do some marketing…? That said, the game is a lot of fun to play even with the problems it has, and it could easily be five stars if these are fixed.

This game is really great and all but its lacking in number of players and needs some updates to be done.

I am giving this five stars, albeit it is not perfect. A much needed upgrade from merchant kingdoms. If I could suggest some features it would be map related. Provide a toggle for county boundaries. Also a fog of war would be a great way to keep track of visited locations.

This is a great game! For those of you who enjoy games like Turf Wars, youll probably like this just as much. This is currently my favorite game on the App Store. It definitely needs more players though. Better advertising or something needs to be done, but this game is fun with potential to be a leader in the App Store if it will simply grow. Edit: There is what appears to be a bug however. Ive noticed the production building are not producing any cargo. It says the cycle will complete "anytime" but it never does. Please help fix this because this bug (if that is what it is) entirely breaks the game for me.

Great game until me and my friends (from other states) were all taken over by meeshi. He isnt even in my region yet hes able to take us over. I dont know how he can see my state from his state. If this isnt some kind of cheater Im fine with that, but if he is Id like to know.
